K9 handler boot camp
This is a 5 day intensive course (consecutive days, e.g, Saturday – Wednesday)

Before booking you must first secure some times and dates with me that are suitable for us both.
Whatever you want to learn, this is the best way to learn it. (Not for reactive dogs. for those, see my reactive dog course)

Basic obedience
Recall – come when called regardless of what distractions are around, animals, people etc.
Sit- and stay sat,not a 2 second get the treat and move sit.
Down -as in lie down
Wait- must stay where they are until released.
Stay – must stay where they are until you return to them and release them.
Release command – let them know the exercise has finished and they can go and do what they want.
Loose lead walk, no pulling on the lead, walks on a loose lead.
Advanced obedience
Wait – must remain where they are on the command regardless of what’s going on around them and at distance from you.
Distance control – The dog must obey any commands given even when at a distance.
Recall/wait, you call your dog back but then before they get to you put them in a wait.
Heel – remaining at your side whether you walk forward or back.
Search – indicate on an object.
Retrieve – bring an object to your hand and release immediately
You can take the advanced obedience as far as you want once the dog understands the basics.
Obedience training is 60 mins all 5 days.
